AC - It's impact on health
Love to stay in an air conditioned room. How much time would you like to spend when AC is on. I know some of you have a habit of run it regularly. People loves to decrease the temperature to maximum and sleep under a blanket right? But it will lead to many health issues. Want to know how? Then come let me tell you.
Normal body temperature of human is 35 degree celsius. Even though a person can tolerate the ranges of 23-39 degrees easily. I suggest you don't decrease the temperature below that. There is a higher chance of getting hypothermia where blood circulation and supply becomes irregular. Most of the body parts won't get enough blood. Lower temperature results in the absence of sweating so that the toxins produced in body never goes out. This eventually results in increased blood pressure, skin allergies. Staying for long in an AC room can trigger dry eyes results in blurred vision, itchy eyes and a burning sensation. While cooling, room, AC often suck out more moisture than necessary.
If you set it to a low temperature, then the chances of the room gets dry are quite high. Along with the room it sucks out humidity from the body as well. If you don’t hydrate yourself enough, the chances of getting dehydrated are high. The heat inside and outside the room is poles apart and on entering an AC room, you don’t get enough time to acclimatise. The result – headache. It can also happen due to dehydration. Continuous exposure to AC can also trigger a headache in people who suffer from migraine. This is another air conditioning health problem. Drying out of the nasal passage and the mucous membrane can trigger viral infections. That’s because mucous casts a protective layer to keep the body away from infections. If it gets disturbed by the AC, infections would affect the body in no time. Constant exposure to AC can disturb the normal functioning of the nose and throat. It can lead to respiratory blockage and inflammation in the mucous membrane. ACs can also affect that lungs.
